Venus here loves food, pleasure, indulgence and beauty in what they consume. Saturn here can restrict or deepen the voice.

One client with Saturn in the second told me they never felt like they had the right to speak growing up. As an adult their throat tenses whenever they try to assert themselves. That is the second house. It is not just the twelfth for psychology, the second has its say too.

Clutch Or Let Go: What You Hold

This house is also about what you hold. It can be money, it can be objects or it can be emotions. Scorpio second house will keep financial secrets, hidden accounts, and little stashes of things from exes they swore they did not care about. Taurus on the cusp can make someone very physically resilient. But if Venus is tucked away in the twelfth in hard aspect to Neptune then fatigue or sluggish digestion can show up. Leo second house usually gives a strong voice and physical presence, but if the Sun is opposite Saturn you can see chronic throat strain or jaw tension. Aries second house burns fuel at a scary pace. If they do not stay fueled they crash, they get migraines and they get adrenal burnout.

Libra second house with Venus in the sixth conjunct Neptune can lead to digestive sensitivity and sugar cravings. They go long periods without food and then binge later. That placement means you should check your ghrelin hormone levels because it controls appetite. Saturn second house people restrict eating. Sometimes by choice, sometimes by forgetting because they are busy.

Scorpio second with Pluto opposite Mars often shows up as stress eating, swinging between binging and fasting. I had a client with exactly that placement and they were diagnosed with EDNOS, emotional turmoil driving extreme food control.

The second house shows how you treat your resources, your body, and your voice. It shows how much you think you are worth and how you live it out.
